SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas "Tom" Patrick Horn, who passed away on March 2, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was born on January 2, 1955, in Alton; he was the son of James F. and Mary Ann (Accario) Horn Sr.; he married Cindy Ponzetti on June 5, 1992, in St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Cahokia; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was the owner and operator of Big Tom's Meat Market in Cahokia; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Cahokia; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Horn enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Horn was preceded in death by his father, James F. Horn Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Horn is survived by his wife, Cindy; his mother, Mary Ann (Accario) Horn; his children and their spouses, Michael and Dawn Presson and Christine and Ross Vandever; his grandchildren, Clara Presson, Ross Vandever IV, and Justin Vandever; his siblings and their spouses, Jim and Cheri Horn, Tim and Vicki Horn, Ann (Horn) Parker, Matt and Laura Horn, Dennis and Jenny Horn, and Chris and Dana Horn; and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Thomas "Tom" Patrick Horn; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Horn as an expression of our sympathy.
