SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Vincent E. Stumpf, who passed away on
4March 7, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf was born on Sept. 23, 1928, in
6Batchtown; he was the son of Emil and Alice (Sackman) Stumpf;
7he married Eva L. Friedel on May 7, 1955, in Brussels; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf served his country as a member of
9the United States Army during the Korean Conflict; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf was employed as a truck driver for
11over 40 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf was a member of Our Lady Queen of
13Peace Catholic Church and the Brussels VFW Post No. 4686; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to
15the farm with his son, Paul, collecting coins, and spending
16time with his wife, children, and grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf was preceded in death by his
18parents and his son, Tim Stumpf; and

1    WHEREAS, Vincent Stumpf is survived by his wife, Eva; his
2children and their spouses, Fran and Russell Gentry, Paul and
3Barb Stumpf, Dave and Susan Stumpf, and Dan Stumpf and his
4friend, Trudy Kaufman; his grandchildren and their spouses,
5Chris and Sanya Gentry, Staci and Steve Lawson, Amanda and
6Steve Bantle, Kyle and Michelle Stumpf, Natalee Voumard and her
7fiance, Matt, Shannon Stumpf, Jenni Stumpf, and Jamie Stumpf;
8his great-grandchildren, Kailynn, Sophia, and Kenlee; his
9brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Ruth Stumpf; his sister and
10brother-in-law, Frances and John Nolte; and his many nieces,
11nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
14his family and friends, the passing of Vincent E. Stumpf; and
15be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Vincent Stumpf as an expression of
18our sympathy.
