SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert "Bobby" Ross of Waukegan, who passed away on February 8, 2012; and

WHEREAS, He was born to Marvin and Lois Ross on February 27, 1955 in Waukegan and was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, He loved people, sports, music, cooking, and driving his pontoon boat; he was a life long Chicago Bears fan, loved all kinds of music, and found great joy in cooking for his friends and family; and

WHEREAS, He was a true friend to many and had a generous heart; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ross; his brother, Ed Ross; and his stepfather Everett Burkett; and

WHEREAS, Robert Ross is survived by his mother, Lois (nee Warack) Ross Burkett; his wife, Cheryl Ross; his daughter, Katie Ross; his grandson, Marvin Ross; his nieces, Maggie (Joe) Harmsen and Halley Ross; and his many cousins and loving friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Ross; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Ross as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
