SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ira M. Korman; and

WHEREAS, He was a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP USA; he was a former member of the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation (JUF/JF) Board of Directors and served on various JUF committees; and

WHEREAS, He was also involved in Ida Crown Jewish Academy and The Hillels of Illinois and a Wexner Chicago alum; and

WHEREAS, Ira Korman was the husband of Debra (nee Coven); the father of Jacob, Jonathan, and Leo; the son of Leslie and Edith Korman; the son-in-law of Nate and Judy Coven; the brother of Harley Korman (Tensley) and Marc (Bethany) Korman; the brother-in-law of Steven (Sarah) Coven, Larry (Deborah) Coven, and Kathy Korman; and the uncle of many loving nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ira Korman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ira Korman as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
