SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Florence W. Mazewski, nee Heider, who passed away on February 10, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Florence Mazewski was the devoted wife of the former President of the Polish National Alliance and Polish American Congress, Aloysius A. Mazewski, for over 20 years; she was always at his side and was fondly considered by many as the First Lady of Polonia; and

WHEREAS, Florence Mazewski was the beloved wife of the late Aloysius A. Mazewski; the loving mother of Al (Janice) Mazewski and Marilyn Mazewski Potasiak; the dear mother-in-law of the late Joseph T. Potasiak; the cherished grandmother of Alaina, Brittney, Candice, and Douglas; the fond sister of Ted Heider and the late Irv (Sue) Heider; and the dear aunt and great aunt to many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Florence W. Mazewski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Florence Mazewski as an expression of our sympathy.
