SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ralph A. Coari of Lake Villa, who passed away on December 27, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari was born on July 9, 1955, in Chicago; he was the son of Joan and the late Ralph, Sr.; he lived in Lake Villa for the past 32 years, moving there from Antioch; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari served his country with pride and distinction as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari retired from the Kiley Developmental Center after 30 years of service; he was a member and past president of AFSCME Council 31 Local 785; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari coached youth softball and girls iceless hockey for many years; he was devoted to his family and spent his leisure time on the golf course; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari was preceded in death by his father, Ralph, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Coari is survived by his wife, Diane, whom he married on August 18, 1979; his daughters, Rachel (Hoby) Roberts and Kristin; his granddaughter, Cadence Roberts; his mother, Joan Mitchell; his brothers, Richard (Debbie) Coari, John (Karen) Coari, and Ken (Cindy) Coari; and his nephews, Dan, Brendon, David, Brian, Jason, Matthew, Nick, Jon, and Joshua, and their families; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ralph A. Coari; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ralph Coari as an expression of our sympathy.
