SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann H. Sliva of Waukegan, who passed away on December 11, 2011; and

WHEREAS, She was born July 17, 1917 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; she married Laddie Sliva on August 3, 1940; and

WHEREAS, She was a member of Queen of Peace Church in North Chicago and more recently a member of St. Dismas Church in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, She was an avid seamstress and loved to cook; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Laddie; her daughter, Michaelene Sliva; and her sisters, Irene Miecyzski and Eleanor Gont; and

WHEREAS, Ann Sliva is survived by her son, Thomas (Patricia) Sliva; her, daughter Sandra (Henry) Jasinski; and her 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ann Sliva; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Sliva as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
