SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles E. "Chuck" Zola of Joliet, who passed away on October 22, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He retired from Gerdau Ameri Steel in 2010; and

WHEREAS, He was an avid Nascar fan; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Zola; his brothers, John and Sonny Zola; his sisters, Helen and Veronica in infancy; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and

WHEREAS, Charles Zola was the beloved husband of Kathleen "Pinkie" nee Swan; the loving father of Missie Zola and Ami Zola; the dear grandfather of Kaelie (Tim Mitchell) Karales; the brother of Catherine "Kay" (Jerry) Petersen and JoAnn (Jesse) Fonseca; the brother-in-law of Lorraine Zola; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Charles Zola; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles Zola as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
