SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lila Lissetta Tomblin of Peoria Heights, who passed away on November 12, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin was born on January 21, 1920, in Conway, Kansas; her parents were Edward Sherman and Emma Jane (Whitehead) McCabe; she married Joseph James Tomblin Jr. on June 15, 1946, in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin attended Kelly Grade School; she was employed at Pabst Brewery during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin attended St. Thomas Church, where she embraced her Catholic membership and her faith in Jesus Christ; and

WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings; and

WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin is survived by her sons, Brian L. (Debbie) Tomblin, David J. (Bev) Tomblin, Mark (Debi) Tomblin, and Kent M. (Laura) Tomblin, and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Lila Lissetta Tomblin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lila Tomblin as an expression of our sympathy.
