SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of United States Army Sergeant Timothy D.
4Sayne of Fort Wainwright, Alaska, formerly of Effingham, who
5passed away on September 18, 2011; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne was born on November 28, 1979,
7in Henderson, Kentucky; he is the son of Mary "Kathy" Sayne and
8Robert Sayne; he married Thania Agustin on October 17, 2009, in
9Reno, Nevada; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne was a graduate of Effingham
11High School; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne served his country with pride
13and distinction as a member of the United States Army since
14February of 2008; he graduated from basic training and advanced
15individual training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and arrived at Fort
16Wainwright, Alaska in August of 2008; he served a tour of duty
17in Iraq from September of 2008 to September of 2009 as a
18cavalry scout in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; he
19served with the 5th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Stryker
20Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division at the time
21of his passing; and

1    WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne was preceded in death by his
2grandparents, Robert B. and Rita Even; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Sgt. Timothy Sayne is survived by his wife,
4Thania; his son, Timothy Kalvin; his mother, Kathy Sayne; his
5brothers, Cory (Jamie) Sayne and Joey (Desiree) Sayne; his
6sister, Paige (George) Huntington; his three nieces; and his
7two nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of United States Army
11Sergeant Timothy D. Sayne; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Sgt. Timothy Sayne as an expression
14of our sympathy.
