SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael W. Kelly, who recently passed away; and

WHEREAS, He was born January 18, 1950; and

WHEREAS, He was an United States Army Vietnam veteran; he was a member of Cantigny Post VFW; he was president and owner of Power House Tool Inc. and the holder of multiple patents; he loved traveling the world with his family and friends and was a charismatic story teller who's smile lit up the room; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Paula M. (nee Burress) Kelly; and

WHEREAS, Michael Kelly was the loving father of Lizzi (Jeff) Kelly-Ancel and Brandon Kelly; the loving grandfather of Chloe Kelly, Caden, and Kailen Ancel; and the loving brother of Jimmy (Kerry) and Danny (Laura) Kelly; he is also survived by his beloved friend and advocate, Laura Patterson; his friend and business partner, Glenn Jorgenson; he was the beloved uncle of Ryan Kelly, Kristin Lauder, Paul Kelly, and Kristine Kitchell; he also leaves a magnitude of friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Michael Kelly; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Kelly as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
