SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard G. Trapp of Allegan, Michigan, who passed away on June 2, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Richard Trapp served his country with bravery and distinction as a member of the Third Army during World War II; he was the recipient of the Purple Heart; and

WHEREAS, Richard Trapp was the beloved husband of the late Patricia, nee O'Halloran; the loving father of Raymond (Wini), William (Linda), and John (Kathy); the cherished grandfather of Michael, Patrick, Julie, James, Anne, Katherine, Thomas, and Steven; the great-grandfather of 10; the dear brother of Irene (Bert) Johanson, Elizabeth (the late Robert) Bentley, Phillip (Jane), the late Virginia (the late Lawrence) Anich, and Walter (the late Marge); and the uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Richard G. Trapp; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Trapp as an expression of our sympathy.
