SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tyler "Max" Zumwalt of Pittsfield, who passed away on January 23, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Zumwalt was born on December 29, 1990, in Pittsfield; he was the son of Parker and Beth Mitchell Zumwalt; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Zumwalt graduated from Pittsfield High School in 2009; he loved Saukee football and baseball and was an outstanding athlete; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Zumwalt was a sophomore at Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, where he played as a defensive lineman for the Culver Stockton College football team; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Zumwalt enjoyed coaching the youth football league and umpiring little league baseball in Pittsfield; he also enjoyed bow and firearm deer hunting, shooting blue rocks, watching the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with his niece, Katie; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Zumwalt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Parker and Eileen Zumwalt and Jim and Wanda Mitchell; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Zumwalt is survived by his parents, Parker and Beth Zumwalt; his brother, Trevor (fiancee, Kriss Reid) Zumwalt; his sisters, Tammy (Jarrod) Zumwalt Green and Toyia Zumwalt; his niece, Katie Zumwalt; his special family, Rick and Tracey Reel and their family; his aunt and uncle, Sandra and Lee Richey; and his 4 cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Tyler "Max" Zumwalt; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tyler Zumwalt as an expression of our sympathy.
