SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank R. Ardelean of Aurora, who passed away on April 14, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was known by many for his work as a State Farm Agent until his retirement in 1999 after 30 years of service; he is also remembered by many as the "Mayor Emeritus of Pigeon Hill"; and

WHEREAS, He will be remembered by the parishioners of Saint Michael Church-Aurora for his commitment to his church and faith; he loved to fish and travel the country and world with his loving wife, children, and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose (Silagy) and Frank Ardelean; and his brother, John Ardelean; and

WHEREAS, Frank Ardelean is survived in life by his loving wife and best friend of 55 years, Darlene (Hoorelbek); his children, Sandy (Kerry) Pardridge, Linda Ardelean, Ron (Wendy) Ardelean, Greg (Joyce) Ardelean, Rosemary (Rick) Johanns, Diane (Michael) Kuk, Daniel Ardelean, Nadine (Eric) Bramm, and Michele (David) Zinke; his grandchildren, Ashton, Caitlyn, and Cody Pardridge, Bryan and Brittany Ardelean (and great grandson, Jaxtyn Ardelean), Amanda and Alex Ardelean, Renae, Reid, and Rhys Johanns, Samantha, Ian, and Hayden Kuk, Alyssa Hasenhayer, Teddy Ardelean, Kayley, Dakota, and Ella Zinke; his brother, Michael (Cornelia) Ardelean; his sisters-in-law, Sharon (John) Barry and Beverly Bugbee; his nieces, Lauren Ardelean, Nancy Cowans, Evelyn Bugbee, Laura Driessen, and Dawn Schmall; his nephews, Tim and Steve Ardelean; his dear cousin, Viola Moldavon; and his extended family in Romania, Florica, her daughter Maria (Nelu) Salajan, and their daughters, Anca and Alina; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Frank Ardelean; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Ardelean as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
