SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Officer Michael Ronald Flisk, who passed away on November 26, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Officer Flisk was employed by the Chicago Police Department as a member of the Evidence Technician Team - South Unit and served faithfully for almost 2 decades; and

WHEREAS, Both of Officer Flisk's sisters and one of his brothers also serve as officers with the Chicago Police Department; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago Police Department has retired Officer Flisk's star, number 6962; and

WHEREAS, Officer Flisk was a proud member of the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7; and

WHEREAS, Officer Flisk leaves behind his wife, his daughter, and his 3 sons; and

WHEREAS, Officer Flisk dedicated and gave his life to protecting and serving the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family, friends, and his Fraternal Order of Police brothers and sisters, the passing of Officer Michael Flisk; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Officer Michael Flisk as an expression of our sympathy.
