1 SENATE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Correctional Officer Tracey Cooper, who
4 passed away on September 28, 2010; and

5     WHEREAS, Correctional Officer Cooper had served with the
6 Illinois Department of Corrections for 15 years and was
7 assigned to the Stateville Correctional Center; and

8     WHEREAS, Correctional Officer Cooper was active in his
9 community and coached youth baseball; and

10     WHEREAS, Correctional Officer Cooper was a proud member of
11 the Illinois Department of Corrections FOP Lodge #263; and

12     WHEREAS, Correctional Officer Cooper leaves behind his
13 wife, his 2 sons, and his 2 daughters; and

14     WHEREAS, Correctional Officer Cooper dedicated and gave
15 his life to protecting and serving the people of the State of
16 Illinois; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
18 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
19 his family, friends, and his Fraternal Order of Police brothers

1 and sisters, the passing of Correctional Officer Tracey Cooper;
2 and be it further

3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of Correctional Officer Tracey Cooper
5 as an expression of our sympathy.
