SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank John Cogan, who passed away on March 31, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Frank Cogan was born on October 31, 1942, in Alton; his parents were Frank J. and Anna (Hellrung) Cogan; he married the former Jane Skelton on December 26, 1964, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Frank Cogan was employed as a clerk at Schnucks for 30 years until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Frank Cogan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Frank Cogan was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Betty Gutierruz; and his infant brother; and

WHEREAS, Frank Cogan is survived by his wife, Jane; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Suzanne Cogan; his daughter, Melissa Cogan; his sister, Judy Cogan; and his grandchildren, Kate Cogan, Samuel Cogan, and Max Cogan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Frank John Cogan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Cogan as an expression of our sympathy.
