SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert Earl Wilson of Chicago, who passed away on January 2, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born on June 5, 1950 in Isola, Mississippi to Percey and Annie Bell Wilson; he was educated in the Chicago Public School System, attending Batoma Elementary School, DuSable High School, and two years of college; he was united in marriage to Mosheila on August 26, 1998; and

WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; he worked for the Chicago Transit Authority upon returning from the military, and worked until his retirement in 2010; and

WHEREAS, He was a Christian and was a faithful member of Evangelistic Deliverance Temple, where he served as a Deacon, Trustee, and Pastor Aid Member; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Percey Wilson; and

WHEREAS, Robert Wilson is survived by his wife, Mosheila; his daughters with Mosheila, Faith and Precious; his other children, Reinaldo (Jean), Roberto, Alonzo, Terneako, Termeakiss, and Dianca; his mother, Annie Bell Wilson; his brothers, Sam, Roger, and Arrie; his sisters, Georgia, Annie, and Brenda; his great aunt, Willie Bell; his aunts, Evangelist Simmons (Lenard), Evangelist Bush, Bernice Bryant, and Emma Shanklin; his uncles, Rev. Span (Annie) and Al Matthew (Ida); his 16 grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Wilson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Wilson as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
