SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert Earl Wilson of Chicago, who passed
4away on January 2, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on June 5, 1950 in Isola, Mississippi
6to Percey and Annie Bell Wilson; he was educated in the Chicago
7Public School System, attending Batoma Elementary School,
8DuSable High School, and two years of college; he was united in
9marriage to Mosheila on August 26, 1998; and
 
10    WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army during the
11Vietnam War; he worked for the Chicago Transit Authority upon
12returning from the military, and worked until his retirement in
132010; and
 
14    WHEREAS, He was a Christian and was a faithful member of
15Evangelistic Deliverance Temple, where he served as a Deacon,
16Trustee, and Pastor Aid Member; and
 
17    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Percey
18Wilson; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Wilson is survived by his wife, Mosheila;
20his daughters with Mosheila, Faith and Precious; his other

1children, Reinaldo (Jean), Roberto, Alonzo, Terneako,
2Termeakiss, and Dianca; his mother, Annie Bell Wilson; his
3brothers, Sam, Roger, and Arrie; his sisters, Georgia, Annie,
4and Brenda; his great aunt, Willie Bell; his aunts, Evangelist
5Simmons (Lenard), Evangelist Bush, Bernice Bryant, and Emma
6Shanklin; his uncles, Rev. Span (Annie) and Al Matthew (Ida);
7his 16 grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews,
8cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11his family and friends, the passing of Robert Wilson; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Robert Wilson as a symbol of our
15sincere sympathy.
