SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony C. Aiello of Wayne, who passed away on March 12, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born June 12, 1929, in Chicago; he graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in civil engineering; he served as a lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1954 to 1956; and

WHEREAS, He started his own construction company, which recently celebrated 50 years in operation; he loved to travel, fly planes, and had flown for over 50 years; after taking a course at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, working with machines became his favorite hobby; and

WHEREAS, He was a true family man, his whole life he took care of family and extended family; he enjoyed reading biographies and history books and having a good political banter was always something he enjoyed; he loved his children and grandchildren with his whole heart, and he loved all children and they loved him back; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Frances; his sister, Rosemary Weeks; and his brother, Carmelo Aiello; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Aiello is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angeline (nee Mazza); his son, Frank (Janet); his daughter, Felicia (James) Ryan; his grandchildren, James, Kathryn, Anthony, and Kristin; his brother, Cos Aiello; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Patrick and June Mazza and Joseph and Eleanor Mazza; and many fond nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Anthony C. Aiello; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anthony C. Aiello as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
