SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth E. Wood of Lake Bluff, who passed away on February 26, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born in 1932 in Brewerton, New York, the son of the late Clarence and Ella Wood; and

WHEREAS, He was a CPA with Arthur Andersen and Company, the Walter Heller Company, and The Marmon Group, all of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of the Sharvin American Legion Post #397 in North Chicago; he was on the Board of Directors of the Great Lakes Naval Museum Foundation; he was the National Director and a member of the Navy League of the United States; he was on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps; he was a member of the Friends of Lake County Discovery Museum; and he was member of the Lake County Council of the Navy League; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Wood was the husband of Roycealee Wood (nee, Johnson); the godfather of Scott (Lynne) Twigg and Steven Twigg; the great godfather of Emily and Logan Twigg; and the brother of Millard (late, Susan) Wood and Nancy (Neal) Scott; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth Wood; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Wood as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
