SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened at the death of United States Army Specialist Trevor Pinnick of Lawrenceville, who was killed in action in Panjway, Afghanistan on June 12, 2012; and

WHEREAS, SPC Trevor Pinnick joined the Army out of high school and was deployed to Afghanistan in December of 2011; he served with the 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 2nd Infantry Division, out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington; and

WHEREAS, SPC Trevor Pinnick is survived by his wife, Martha; his daughter, Melody; his parents, Thomas and Nancy Pinnick; his brother, Thomas Pinnick Jr.; and his sisters, Kayla Lynn and Bethany Rose; and

WHEREAS, SPC Trevor Pinnick's patriotism and courage will be remembered fondly by his loving family, his fellow soldiers, and the citizens of our grateful nation; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of SPC Trevor Pinnick; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the family of SPC Trevor Pinnick as an expression of our sympathy.
