HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Salvador Torres on the 30th anniversary of his business, Caminos de Michoacan; and

WHEREAS, He was born in Villa Morelos, Michoacan on October 22, 1946 to his parents, Ruben Torres and Carmen Escobedo; and

WHEREAS, He was married to Bertha Jimenez in 1975 and together they raised 4 children, Erika, Azucena, Salvador, Jr., and Edgar; and

WHEREAS, They are the proud grandparents of Romario, Daisy, Lily, Jullian, Jessica, Salvador III, and Alexandria; and

WHEREAS, Salvador became the owner of Caminos de Michoacan 30 years ago, after first working as an employee in the establishment; and

WHEREAS, Caminos de Michoacan is located in Pilsen and is a vital and great part of the community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Salvador Torres on the 30th anniversary of Caminos de Michoacan and wish him continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Salvador Torres as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
