HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Mrs. Susanne Hoskins on her retirement, on May 4, 2012, as a first and second grade teacher at Dr. Katie Harper Wright Elementary School in East St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hoskins serves as an example of a teacher who highlighted the importance of education and made learning an exciting, pleasant experience for her students and others; and

WHEREAS, She excelled in her own studies and earned a B.S. degree from Langston University in Oklahoma; she later received a Master's degree from Webster University in St. Louis and furthered her studies at Southern Illinois College with additional certifications and skills; and

WHEREAS, She has inspired thousands of students in East St. Louis throughout her 41 years of teaching first and second grade; and

WHEREAS, She recognizes that teaching is one of the most rewarding professions a person can have; she will always cherish the lives she has touched and the impact her many students have had on her own life; she is looking forward to retirement and the rich experiences that await her outside the classroom; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mrs. Susanne Hoskins on her retirement and wish her all the best in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Susanne Hoskins as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
