HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Deanna Rivers Green, who passed away on February 13, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Deanna Green was born and raised in the south suburbs and attended Homewood Flossmoor High School; she accepted Christ at an early age; and

WHEREAS, Deanna Green had a passion for helping people that was demonstrated through her career as a registered nurse; she served as the Director at Manor Care Health Services in Homewood; she also worked for a former U.S. Congressman and was an important part of the success of many State and local officials; and

WHEREAS, Deanna Green was a member of St. Paul Community Church; and

WHEREAS, Deanna Green was the beloved wife of Shannon Green; together, the couple had four children, Danielle, John-Michael, Shannon Jr., and Shane; she is also survived by her parents and her grandmother, Minerva Rivers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Deanna Rivers Green; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Deanna Green as an expression of our sympathy.
