HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate David Pearce of the Civic Memorial Eagles wrestling team on winning the 126 pound IHSA Class 2A State wrestling championship; and

WHEREAS, David Pearce won his title on February 18, 2012 at the Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois-Champaign campus; and

WHEREAS, He became the fourth wrestler in school history to win a State title; he finished the season with a 26-2 record; and

WHEREAS, It was a special victory for him, after missing the first part of the season while recovering from knee surgery; and

WHEREAS, He plans to continue wrestling in college after completing his senior year at Civic Memorial; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate David Pearce on winning the 126 pound Class 2A State wrestling championship and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to David Pearce as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
