HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sandra Doebert on the occasion of her retirement as Superintendent of Lemont High School District 210; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Doebert has served as the superintendent of District 210 since 2002, making her the first female superintendent in the school's history and one of only 4 superintendents to have served for at least a decade; she came to the school in 1994 as an assistant principal, a role she filled for 7 years before serving as the assistant superintendent in the 2001-2002 school year; she announced her retirement in April of 2011, effective June 30, 2012; and

WHEREAS, During Sandra Doebert's tenure as superintendent, Lemont High School has made strides in several areas, including academics, extracurricular activities, and improved facilities, all while enrollment has grown by 33% to more than 1,500 students; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Doebert will receive a special award at the Lemont Area Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner dance, "Dinner Dance Vaudeville", on February 24, 2012 for her many years of dedicated service to the citizens of Lemont; and

WHEREAS, Sandra Doebert serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sandra Doebert on the occasion of her retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sandra Doebert as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
