HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ron Kubicki on the occasion of his retirement as Director of the Hodgkins Park District and as President of the Pleasantview Board of Trustees after 40 years of dedicated service to his community; and

WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki has been a resident of Hodgkins and an employee with the Hodgkins Park District for 40 years; he served as Director of the Hodgkins Park District for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki was elected to the Pleasantview Fire Protection Board of Trustees in November of 1985; in 2004, he became President of the Pleasantview Fire Protection District Board of Trustees; and

WHEREAS, Prior to his service as a Trustee, Ron Kubicki served as a paid-on-call firefighter for 11 years; and

WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki was elected to serve on the Northern Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts Board in 1987; he also served as the President of the Northern Illinois Fire Protection Districts for 23 years and has participated in the Congressional Fire Service Caucus for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki has been a member of 10 16" softball National Championship Teams; he is also the President of the 16" Softball Hall of Fame; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Ron Kubicki on the occasion of his retirement and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Ron Kubicki as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
