HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Eugene Tabour on his retirement as a Trustee for the Evergreen Park Public Library Board; and

WHEREAS, He retired from the Board in October of 2011; and

WHEREAS, He served 6 years in the United States Air Force Military Police, including serving during the United Nations action in the Belgian Congo and Lebanon; and

WHEREAS, He is the proud father of 2 Eagle Scouts, Justin Tabour and Jason Tabour, who formerly served as the Evergreen Park Public Library Board President; and

WHEREAS, He is retired as a District Sales Manager of Industrial Steel; he is a lifetime member of the Calumet Yacht Club; and

WHEREAS, As a Trustee for the Evergreen Park Public Library Board, he was a vital part of the planning and oversight of the Library expansion and renovation project in 2006 and 2007; he served from 1989 to 2011, holding positions as Vice President and Treasurer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Eugene Tabour on his retirement and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Eugene Tabour as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
