HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Danny Seagraves as he celebrates 40 years with the United States Postal Service in Eldorado; and

WHEREAS, Danny Seagraves began his career as a mail carrier and became a clerk in 1984; and

WHEREAS, When he began working at the Eldorado Post Office 17 people were employed there; now there are only 8 employees, many only working part-time; and

WHEREAS, In addition, he has seen the volume of mail that comes through the post office decrease over the years; and

WHEREAS, In his 40 years working at the post office, he has enjoyed his time serving the people of Eldorado; he has made many friends and has accumulated a collection of interesting stories; and

WHEREAS, His plans are to continue working for another year before looking towards retirement; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Danny Seagraves on this anniversary occasion and wish him continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Danny Seagraves as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
