HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate David Meador of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Salem, on the occasion of being inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame; and

WHEREAS, David Meador graduated from Salem Community High School with the class of 1966; after attending the Illinois Visually Handicapped Institute and Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind, he graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1971; and

WHEREAS, David Meador has been very successful in the insurance field; he also serves as a motivational speaker at engagements throughout the nation and is the author of "Broken Eyes, Unbroken Spirit"; and

WHEREAS, David Meador will be inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame during an event in his honor at the Golf House Tennessee in Franklin, Tennessee on September 21, 2011; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate David Meador on the occasion of being inducted into the Tennessee Golf Hall of Fame and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to David Meador as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
