1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport, formerly known as
3 Pal-waukee Municipal Airport, is the third busiest airport in
4 the State of Illinois; and

5     WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport has grown to become one
6 of the most important business aviation facilities in the
7 world; and

8     WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport is an economic
9 powerhouse of local, regional, national, and international
10 levels; and

11     WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport is home to 400 business
12 and general aviation aircraft and directly or indirectly
13 employs hundreds of highly skilled Illinois residents; and

14     WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport is marking the 25th
15 anniversary of it's purchase by the Village of Wheeling and the
16 City of Prospect Heights; and

17     WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport has prospered and grown
18 under the leadership and cooperation of these two fine
19 communities; therefore, be it

1     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3 we proclaim June 27, 2011 as Chicago Executive Airport Day in
4 the State of Illinois; and be it further

5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the Chicago Executive Airport Management Team and
7 Board of Directors as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
