1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, A vacancy exists in the office of Chief Clerk of
3 the House of Representatives; therefore, be it

4     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6 Timothy D. Mapes is hereby elected Chief Clerk of the House of
7 Representatives for the remainder of the term of the
8 Ninety-Seventh General Assembly or until a successor is
9 elected; and be it further

10     RESOLVED, That Timothy D. Mapes shall receive no
11 compensation or reimbursement of expenses for performance of
12 duties as the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives.
