HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes baseball team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 2A State Baseball Tournament; and

WHEREAS, Ably led by senior pitcher Derek Thompson, the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes defeated the Melrose Park-Walter Lutheran Broncos 4-0 to claim victory at the IHSA Class 2A State Baseball Tournament; the team ended their season with a phenomenal 33-2 record; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes are Derek Repking, Derek Thompson, Jordan Roepke, Damon Hoene, Bo Blievernicht, Dillon Hardiek, Brock Swingler, Cole Borries, Garrett Overbeck, Brandon Hemmen, Mark Niebrugge, Dylan Niebrugge, Eric Oseland, Mitch McMahon, Brandon Pals, Zack Repking, Nick Kreke, Kyle Pruemer, Jared Waldhoff, Chase Wending, and Derek Smith; the team's head coach is Justin Fleener and the assistant coaches are Rob Bothwell, Michael Buening, Jordan Pals, and Troy Bierman; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes baseball team on their victory and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Teutopolis Wooden Shoes head coach Justin Fleener as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
