1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 Ethnic Heritage Museum on the occasion of the organization's
5 21st Annual International Music Festival and Father of the Year
6 Awards; and

7     WHEREAS, The Ethnic Heritage Museum is a vital part of
8 southwest Rockford; and

9     WHEREAS, The Ethnic Heritage Museum is dedicated to
10 preserving the history of the six ethnic groups that settled
11 southwest Rockford: the Irish, Italians, African-Americans,
12 Polish, Lithuanians, and Hispanics; therefore, be it

13     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15 we congratulate the members of the Ethnic Heritage Museum on
16 the occasion of the organization's 21st Annual International
17 Music Festival and Father of the Year Awards; and be it further

18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the Ethnic Heritage Museum as a symbol of our
20 esteem and respect.
