HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of Neuqua Valley High School on the occasion of being selected as a Grammy Signature Gold School for 2011; and

WHEREAS, The Grammy Signature Gold Schools designation recognizes top music education programs at United States public high schools; and

WHEREAS, As a Grammy Signature Gold School, Neuqua Valley High School will receive $5,500 to benefit the school's music program; and

WHEREAS, Neuqua Valley High School has received the Grammy Signature Gold School designation an astounding nine times; in addition, Neuqua Valley's music program was named the top music program in the country in 2005; and

WHEREAS, Neuqua Valley High School will receive the Grammy Signature Gold School award at an event on May 19, 2011; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of Neuqua Valley High School on the occasion of being selected as a Grammy Signature Gold School for 2011 and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Neuqua Valley High School as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
