HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate John "Marshall" Mollet of Greenville on receiving the Gerald Turley Award from the Greenville Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Mollet is receiving the award for his work with the Greenville City Council, where he served as a councilman for 4 years, beginning in 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Mollet currently serves on the Bond County Building Commission and oversaw the roof and window project at the Bond County Courthouse; he was an original member of the Greenville Tree Committee, and was responsible for planting 500 trees; and

WHEREAS, He has served as a member of the Bradford National Bank board for the past 35 years; he served 14 years as a member of the Bond County Farm Bureau board, including 3 years as president; and he served as a school board trustee; and

WHEREAS, He is a member of the Advancement Committee, which raises money for Greenville Regional Hospital; he was also a member of the hospital board for 12 years; and he is involved with the Meals on Wheels program; and

WHEREAS, John Mollet will receive the award at a reception to be held on May 12, 2011; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate John Mollet on receiving the Gerald Turley Award and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to John Mollet as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
