1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Yusef Carr of BSA
4 Troop 38 in North Chicago on the occasion of earning the
5 distinguished rank of Eagle Scout; and

6     WHEREAS, Yusef Carr is a senior at St. Joseph Catholic
7 Academy; he is a saxophonist and has excelled at high school
8 wrestling and track; he plans to continue his education at
9 Eastern Illinois University, where he will major in music
10 education; and

11     WHEREAS, Yusef Carr is an actor who, as an elementary
12 student, appeared in a high school performance of "Raisin in
13 the Sun"; he was given the supporting role of "Travis", son of
14 the starring characters; and

15     WHEREAS, Yusef Carr has been in the Boy Scouts for 10
16 years; he is the first person to be designated as an Eagle
17 Scout for BSA Troop 38, a testament to his dedication to the
18 people of his community; and

19     WHEREAS, Yusef Carr serves as an usher at his church; he
20 also serves on the audio/visual team; and

1     WHEREAS, Yusef Carr serves as a model of hard work,
2 integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
3 Illinois; therefore, be it

4     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5 NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6 we congratulate Yusef Carr on the occasion of earning the
7 distinguished rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued
8 success and happiness in the future; and be it further

9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to Yusef Carr as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
