HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jackie Hinaber on her retirement as a Trustee from the Mount Prospect Public Library Board; and

WHEREAS, She was elected to the Library Board 24 years ago, after a friend suggested she run for the position; she went on to win re-election 3 times; and

WHEREAS, She served as Board President from 1992 to 2000; and

WHEREAS, She served as the head of the search committee to recruit a new Executive Director; and

WHEREAS, She worked with the Library Board to host an elected officials after-hours meeting at the library, bringing together elected officials from Mount Prospect, the General Assembly, park districts, and school districts; and

WHEREAS, Her work with the Mount Prospect Library Board later gave her an opportunity to serve on the Board of the North Suburban Library System; she served for 6 years on the Board, and as the North Suburban Library System Board President from 2005 to 2006; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jackie Hinaber on her retirement from the Mount Prospect Library Board and wish her the best in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jackie Hinaber as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
