HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize the outstanding performance by the student athletes and coaches of the Central Catholic High School Varsity Girls Basketball team during the 2010-2011 basketball season; and

WHEREAS, The Central Catholic High School Varsity Girls Basketball team finished the 2010-2011 season with an overall season record of 32 wins and 1 loss; they were Inter-City Champions, Corn Belt Conference Champions, and State Farm Classic Champions; and

WHEREAS, The Central Catholic High School Varsity Girls Basketball team advanced through the IHSA Class 2A Girls basketball tournament and won the Regional championship, the Sectional championship, the Super-Sectional championship, and were Runners Up, Class 2A; and

WHEREAS, The team is led by Head Basketball Coach Debbie Coffman and Assistant Coaches Mendy Smith, Jason Davis, and Shari Mitchell; and

WHEREAS, The team managers are Ali Means and Allison Lancaster; and

WHEREAS, The team members are: Lindsay Stopa, Allie Norton, Danielle Davis, Maggie Hayes, Emily Beoletto, Jess Reinhart, Lee Hofmann-Instone, Megan O'Donnell, McKenzie Jamison, Annie O'Malley, Caroline Holt, and Molly McGraw; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the student athletes and coaching staff of the Central Catholic High School Varsity Girls Basketball team on being Runners Up in the Illinois High School Association Class 2A basketball finals; and on having Jess Reinhart, Allie Norton, and Emily Beoletto named to the First Team Corn Belt All-Conference Team, and on having Coach Debbie Coffman named Coach of the Year by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association for Class 2A in District 15, and on an outstanding season; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the members of the Central Catholic High School Varsity Girls Basketball team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
