HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Etta Mae Credi began her career with the Illinois Department of Insurance on February 23, 1954, as a Clerk Steno I in the Property and Liability Division, making $225 a month; and

WHEREAS, In 1981, Mrs. Credi was made a Department of Insurance Unit Supervisor and was eventually promoted to Assistant Deputy Director in 1990; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi has worked with ten Governors and twenty-three Insurance Directors; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi has been an integral participant in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and is nationally regarded for her skill and keen insight; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi works tirelessly on behalf of insurance consumers in Illinois and around the United States; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi has a remarkable knowledge and understanding of the Department of Insurance and its history, operations, and regulations; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi's dedication and loyalty to the Department of Insurance have made her a role mode for her co-workers, friends, and family; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Credi is not only a dedicated Department of Insurance employee, but also a friend, a leader, and an inspiration to those who work with her; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we thank Etta Mae Credi for her 57 years of service to the people of the State of Illinois and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Etta Mae Credi as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
