HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Warren Township High School Devilettes pom squad on the occasion of becoming the 2010-2011 Illinois Class 3A Hip Hop State Champions; and

WHEREAS, The Warren Township Devilettes competed in five regional dance competitions; the team earned four first place finishes and one second place finish in the Hip Hop Dance Division; the team was subsequently seeded second in the Team Dance Illinois State Championship in Peoria out of 16 total qualifying teams; utilizing great skill and teamwork, the team won the 2010-2011 Illinois State Championship in the Class 3A Hip Hop category; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Warren Township High School Devilettes are Alex Landry, Katerina Wilkins, Marissa Mc Cann, Stephanie Nachbin, Abby Gryzik, Ivette Hernandez, Paige Roane, Macy Stephani, Penny Weiler, Shelby James, Sean MacLennan, Kellie Morgan, Erica Reuss, Dana Sokolowski, Alexis Villarreal, and Katherine Wehde; the team's head coach is Sarah Stepek and the assistant coach is Lucia Espinosa; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Warren Township High School Devilettes serve as models of hard work, talent, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Warren Township High School Devilettes pom squad on the occasion of becoming the 2010-2011 Illinois Class 3A Hip Hop State Champions; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Warren Township High School Devilettes as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
