HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of United
4States Army Specialist William Templeton, who passed away on
5March 7, 2011 after being injured while serving in Iraq; and
 
6    WHEREAS, William was born September 28, 1988, in Du Quoin,
7the son of David C. and Lea Anne (Ferrero) Templeton; he
8graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School in 2007; and
 
9    WHEREAS, After graduation, he immediately joined the
10United States Army Infantry where he served as a specialist in
11Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
 
12    WHEREAS, He was a member of the First United Presbyterian
13Church in Pinckneyville and always enjoyed hunting, fishing,
14and hanging with his friends and family; and
 
15    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandfather,
16Robert "Bob" Templeton; and
 
17    WHEREAS, United States Army Specialist William Templeton
18is survived by his parents, Dave and Lea Anne Templeton; his
19brother, John C. Templeton; his sister, Mackenzie L. Templeton;
20his paternal grandmother, Wilma Templeton; his maternal

1grandparents, Dutch and Letha Ferrero; his loving girlfriend,
2Keri McDaniel; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and
3friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6we mourn, along with his family, friends, and a grateful
7nation, the passing of United States Army Specialist William
8Templeton; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of United States Army
10Specialist William Templeton and his willingness to serve his
11country, which led to him making the ultimate sacrifice; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of United States Army Specialist
15William Templeton as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
