HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jason Stephen Lewitzke on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Jason Lewitzke has been involved in Scouting since he joined as a Cub Scout at the age of six in 1999; he crossed over to the Boy Scouts in 2004 after earning his Arrow of Light as a Webelos Scout; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Jason Lewitzke has earned a total of 32 merit badges and has served in a variety of leadership positions, including Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Order of the Arrow troop representative; and

WHEREAS, Jason Lewitzke is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Jason Lewitzke cleaned out a drainage ditch behind Frederick School in Grayslake in the fall of 2009; his project involved over 200 man-hours and over two dozen volunteers; and

WHEREAS, Jason Lewitzke serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jason Stephen Lewitzke on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jason Lewitzke as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
