HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Tanner Crum on winning the Illinois High School Association's Class 1A 285-pound State Wrestling Championship, held on February 19, 2011 at the Assembly Hall on the University of Illinois campus; and

WHEREAS, With Mount Carmel High School, Tanner Crum was a 4-time State qualifier, where he qualified in 2008, was 2nd in State in his Sophomore season, was 3rd in State in his Junior season, and was State Champion in his Senior season; and

WHEREAS, His high school record was 147 wins and 20 losses; 107 of his wins were pins; and

WHEREAS, He has made the decision to play football at Southern Illinois University starting in the Fall of 2011; and

WHEREAS, He credits his coaches, Pat Cheesman and Mike Cheesman for his success as a wrestler; and

WHEREAS, His parents, Kevin and Angie, and his brother, Logan, have supported and aided in Tanner's growth, both as an athlete and a student; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Tanner Crum for his dedication, work ethic, and athletic talents which led to winning the Illinois High School Association Class 1A 285-pound Wrestling State Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Tanner Crum as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
