HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4Wheaton St. Francis Spartans girls volleyball team on the
5occasion of their victory in the IHSA Class 3A state
6championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The St. Francis Spartans defeated Richmond-Burton
825-21, 25-20 to secure victory at the IHSA Class 3A state
9championship at Redbird Arena; the team ended the season with a
10phenomenal 37-5 record; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The St. Francis Spartans' victory marks the first
12State title victory for the team in 6 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The members of the St. Francis Spartans girls
14volleyball team are Sam Dubiel, Lexi Riccolo, Natalie Murison,
15Lisa Mordell, Anna Melka, Kate Keegan, Becca Shearer, McKenna
16Kelsay, Mary Boken, Michelle McLaughlin, Sophie Koslowski,
17Kristin Acciavatti, Casey Salandra, Molly Haggerty, and Maddie
18Haggerty; the team's head coach is Peg Kopec and the assistant
19coaches are Lisa Ston, Dave Boze, Erin Kopec Tuttle, and Kate
20Rodriguez; and
 
21    WHEREAS, The members of the St. Francis Spartans girls

1volleyball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and
2dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6we congratulate the members of the Wheaton St. Francis Spartans
7girls volleyball team on the occasion of their victory in the
8IHSA Class 3A state championship and wish them continued
9success and happiness in the future; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the St. Francis Spartans girls volleyball team as
12a symbol of our esteem and respect.
