HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Fry Elementary School on being recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; and

WHEREAS, The National Blue Ribbon Schools program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools, where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students' levels of academic achievement; a National Blue Ribbon Schools flag waving overhead has become a trademark of excellence and a symbol of quality, recognized by everyone from parents to policy-makers in thousands of communities; and

WHEREAS, Fry Elementary School is in Indian Prairie School District 204; it was founded in 2001, and its mascot is the fox; and

WHEREAS, The principal of Fry Elementary School is Dave Younce; and

WHEREAS, Fry Elementary School celebrates its achievement on November 20, 2012; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Fry Elementary School on being named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Fry Elementary School as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
