HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Elzbieta Lichosyt on the occasion of becoming a United States citizen on May 1, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt was born in Poland in 1956; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt married Eugeniusz Lichosyt in 1976; together, they have 3 children, Rafal Lichosyt, Krzysztof Lichosyt, and Aneta Koscielniak; and

WHEREAS, In 1976, Elzbieta Lichosyt completed nursing college; she subsequently worked in a hospital as a registered nurse; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt came to the United States in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt and her husband worked tirelessly to support their family in Poland and the United States; and

WHEREAS, While living in the United States, Elzbieta Lichosyt's husband worked long hours while she cleaned houses, cared for elderly people, and attended English classes 4 nights a week; and

WHEREAS, In 1995, Elzbieta Lichosyt attended Morton College, where she received a Nursing Assistant certificate; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt has always been interested in natural healing; she attended an intensive natural healing workshop and completed all 3 levels of the workshop in one year; and

WHEREAS, In 2000, Elzbieta Lichosyt continued to work hard and opened her own business; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt has always believed in serving those in need; from 2005 through 2007, Elzbieta worked as a CNA for the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago convent; and

WHEREAS, Since 2007, Elzbieta has been taking care of young children, including her 3 grandchildren, Olivier Lichosyt, Thomas Koscielniak, and Jacob Koscielniak; and

WHEREAS, Elzbieta Lichosyt has waited a long time and has worked hard to become an upstanding citizen of the United States; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Elzbieta Lichosyt on the occasion of becoming a United States citizen and wish her success and happiness in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Elzbieta Lichosyt as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
