SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

605 ILCS 5/4-101.13	from Ch. 121, par. 4-101.13

Amends the Department of Revenue Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Amends the Department of Revenue Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department, in consultation with certain other agencies, shall provide a listing of alternative fuel dispensing locations in the State to the Department of Transportation in a manner and format prescribed by the Department of Transportation and shall update the listing biannually. Amends the Illinois Highway Code. Provides that Department of Transportation shall determine the content of all of its maps and shall be permitted to provide on its official website additional information that is made available to it regarding dispensing locations that provide E85 blended fuel or biodiesel fuel. Provides that the Department shall update its website at least biannually so long as it receives timely updates from the Department of Revenue on alternative fueling dispensing locations in the State. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Revenue Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 2505-735 as follows:

Sec. 2505-735. Assistance to other State agencies concerning alternative fuel. In cooperation with the Illinois Environmental Agency, the Department of Transportation, the Secretary of State, and any other applicable State agency, the Department shall provide a listing of alternative fuel dispensing locations in the State to the Department of Transportation in a manner and format prescribed by the Department of Transportation so that the information may be disseminated according to Section 4-101.13 of the Illinois Highway Code. The Department shall provide an updated listing biannually to the Department of Transportation.

Section 10. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by changing Section 4-101.13 as follows:

Sec. 4-101.13. To publish maps in convenient forms showing State and other highways for use by the public and, in its discretion, to fix a charge therefor not in excess of the cost of publication. The Department shall determine the content of all maps published by the Department and shall be permitted to provide on its official website additional information that is made available to the Department regarding dispensing locations that provide E85 blended fuel or biodiesel fuel. The Department shall update its website at least biannually so long as it receives timely updates from the Department of Revenue on alternative fueling dispensing locations in the State.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
