SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
30 ILCS 105/5.811 new
30 ILCS 105/5.812 new
30 ILCS 105/6z-93 new
30 ILCS 105/6z-94 new

    Amends the State Finance Act. Creates the 21st Century Schools Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated for the purposes of bringing Illinois schools into the 21st century. Creates the Drinking and Wastewater Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated for the purposes of clean and safe drinking water and wastewater projects. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning finance.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
5Sections 5.811, 5.812, 6z-93, and 6z-94 as follows:
 
6    (30 ILCS 105/5.811 new)
7    Sec. 5.811. 21st Century Schools Fund.
 
8    (30 ILCS 105/5.812 new)
9    Sec. 5.812. Drinking and Wastewater Fund.
 
10    (30 ILCS 105/6z-93 new)
11    Sec. 6z-93. 21st Century Schools Fund; creation. The 21st
12Century Schools Fund is created as a special fund in the State
13treasury. Moneys in the Fund shall be appropriated for the

1    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
