from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 22.02

Amends the Department of Public Health Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning handicapped children.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Public Health Act is amended by changing Section 4 as follows:

(20 ILCS 2305/4) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 22.02)

Sec. 4. No otherwise qualified handicapped child receiving special education and and related services under Article 14 of The School Code shall solely by reason of his or her handicap be excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity provided by the Department.
